While many in Asia would consider this a hobby more than a sport, kitesurfing is receiving a lot of hype and buzz as the latest sport for the young and old. It is deemed as an extreme adventure sport that combines wakeboarding, kite flying and wind surfing all in one. 

Kitesurfing is a water surface sport that manipulates wind power to pull the rider along the waters while riding on a small surfboard that is called a kiteboard. The kite boarding surfer can learn boarding skills and techniques to master this sport. After the brief learning curve of kite boarding, the sport is extremely enjoyable.

Another essential technique for success in kitesurfing is to learn how to handle the kiteboard at all situations and wind conditions. Strong winds and rough seas may cause a kitesurfer to lose control of the kite or board unless the right skills are applied. Kite surfers need to learn how to manage their kites and the flying speeds for a good control over the movement. Like other sports, kiteboarding requires practice to master kite surfing before anyone attempts this sport on their own. Other useful kitesurfing or kite boarding techniques include angle adjustment, expected surface manipulation, launching and landing skills.
